Lanesville Community School Corporation completed a comprehensive building program in August of 1994 that has given us a single school complex serving students in grades K through 12 with a growing enrollment. The Lanesville Community has a strong sense of pride and fellowship. This has been typified through the years by a strong effort to keep the local school system in operation and a resistance to consolidation or reorganization. The school is the heart of the community.
Lanesville Community School Corporation serves Franklin Township in Harrison County, Indiana. The township has an approximate population of 3300. The town of Lanesville is a small rural community of nearly 600 people. Harrison County is uniquely located in historic Southern Indiana just 20 minutes from Louisville, Kentucky and 2 hours from Indianapolis.
