The purpose of this webquest is to explore the history and uniqueness of Harrison County, Indiana as part of an Indiana History investigation in the fourth grade classrooms.
The students will explore Historic Harrison web page to discover the history and places & people of interest in Harrison County, Indiana. The pieces of history & events the students collect in their investigation will be placed on a Harrison County map created by students as explained by the classroom teacher.
Harrison County, Indiana is located in the Southeastern portion of Indiana. It is filled with historical events & people who shaped not only Harrison County & Indiana, but also the United States. Follow the investigative path to find out the wonderful & interesting events that have occurred in Harrison County throughout the years. Remember to take careful notes in filling in your investigation sheets. All of your information will be used at the end of the investigation to complete your Harrison County map.
