"In Germany, the Nazis first came for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I
didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade
unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, but I didn't speak up because I was a
Protestant. Then they came for me...by that time there was no one to speak up for anyone." The Reverend Martin Niemoller in I Didn't Speak Up |

The Holocaust was the
greatest hate crime ever committed. Anne Frank was just one of over
6,000,000 victims of this atrocity. We will be studying both Anne Frank
and the Holocaust in an attempt to remember those who died and to learn from the mistakes of
others so that such an horrible event can never again occur.
Below is a brief overview of the

You will be provided time during class
to complete a large portion of these assignments. However, some tasks may
need to be accomplished outside of class, especially your journal entries. Use your
class time wisely and plan accordingly. Make
sure that you familiarize yourself with the due dates
for each portion of this project.
The following list of resources will be helpful in completing the assignment. They are divided into different categories for convenience.
Students' overall grades for this project will be a compilation of the points earned on each of the individual tasks.
Students may wish to examine the evaluation forms for the various tasks to understand how they will be graded. This may be viewed by choosing the appropriate form.
Please complete the
student evaluation form and leave me your thoughts. I would appreciate your utter
honesty. Anything you write will be used to help make this a better lesson
for future students. I thank you for your time and hard work throughout
this activity.
